The FHR leadership met with representatives of the Federation Qatar field hockey

January 22, 2026 A working meeting between Anton Moroz, President of the Russian Field Hockey Federation (RFH), and Alexey Sorokin, First Vice President of the RFH, and representatives of the Qatar Hockey Federation (QHF) took place in Doha. The Qatar Hockey Federation was represented by President Hamad Saeed Al Sahoti, Board Member Yousef Al Sulaiti, and Technical Director Waqas Liaquat Butt.

The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, such as holding joint field hockey events for national, youth, and club teams in the two countries, as well as developing university sports in Russia and Qatar, potentially exchanging experience in coaching training, and conducting professional development programs. The participants agreed to share their calendar plans for the year and quickly explore the possibility of participating in planned events.
